As a teacher, I am a big fan of the Scholastic books and the great ideas they give (they have really come through with ideas when I am in a jam!). I was ecstatic to hear about a NEW book. When I received the book, however, I was somewhat disappointed to find that many of the pages and ideas looked very familiar. This book has taken the 5 "Best Ever Activities for Grades 2-3" series (published in 2002) and put them in one book. It is a much better deal (I paid $17.99 for the big book when each individual book sold for $10.95 a piece), and the activities inside are wonderful for center work and when you need something for the whole class. I will be keeping the book since I didn't own 2 of the books from the original series. I have used many activities from these books in the last few years. You will love this book!
